Guy Rohling, Managing Director, represents the firm’s clients in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia where he lobbies and monitors legislation and regulation for many diverse and high-profile companies. A well-respected lobbyist in the political and business community, Guy is known for his integrity and exceptional advocacy and management skills. For the past 30 years, he has built strong bi-partisan professional relationships with key decision-makers, committee chairs, senior legislative staff, senior officials in executive branch agencies, the DC Mayor’s office, and the Governors’ offices in Richmond and Annapolis. He also has a wide range of business, lobbyist, local association, and organization contacts in the DC, Maryland and Virginia. In Virginia, he is particularly close with the House and Senate leadership, including the House Majority and Minority Leaders, House Speaker, Senate Majority Leader, and the Chairs of the Appropriations Committees. He has worked on numerous initiatives with the Governor’s and the Lt. Governor’s offices. In DC, he has extensive experience working with senior officials and staff at the DC Department of Health, the DC Office of the Attorney General, the DC Department of Health Care Finance, the DC Mayor’s office, the DC Council’s Committee on Health and several members of the DC Council. Guy has extensive experience working on a variety of issues including appropriations, renewable energy, information technology, health care, pharmaceuticals, financial services, procurement, retail, transportation, environment and workers’ compensation. During his career as a lobbyist, Guy has represented client interests in many political organizations including the Democratic and Republican Governors Associations, Southern Governors Association (SGA), Southern Legislative Conference (SLC), National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL), and the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). Prior to joining Albers & Company in 1994, Guy owned his own government relations firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. From 1978-1991, he served as Senior Government Relations Manager for Household International, a large diversified financial services company. Guy received his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina.
